I find exploring a micro-world is still find appealing. Before starting to save for one of my dream gear, a macro lens, I decided to try how a cheaper solution work, close-up filters. By theory it shall give higher magnification beyond the limit of the lens focusing constrain at very close distance.

A little story about it. Knowing that a friend is going to JPC, I asked him to buy me the stuff, with a promise to refund, of course. And he bluntly said “Oh, I went there the other looking for the same thing. Unfortunately it was not available. So, sorry …” Damn, I have just checked their website only a few hours back, and it was still available.

Anyway, no luck is no luck. The next morning I went online to recheck it … available as the website said. I called the number, and the girl taking up the call said “hang on … it is available by my computer … let me do physical check”. After a while her voice came back saying “yes it is available …”. So I placed the order, send the money, and now here it comes.

Will start playing around with this soon and see how good it is, definitely. That’s about the gear.

About my friend …

1. If you can do it yourself, why do you ask someone else to do it for you. Well … there is shipping cost I can save and there is a risk of shipment damage I want to avoid … that’s why I prefer to ask my friend’s help rather than buying it online.

2. Friends help. If they can’t, they will honestly tell, rather than making up excuses. So, is he a friend. Maybe he is not. He is just someone I know.
