I have been interested in this book since its release - end of June 2007. The latest edition of a quite legendary book in digital photography comes with tons of refreshed content … including full coverage of the latest Adobe Photoshop CS3. So I ordered eagerly and awaited for it to come impatiently.

As a comprehensive bible, the bulky 566 pages book is full of technical details which will easily get us bored. It is definitely a good book to read when you have sleeping problem … a few pages of it will send you to your first dream. However, most of them are basic essentials to understand the topic from the ground up. Actually I am not planning to read it from front-to-back. As I almost always do with this kind of books, I will rather use it as a reference. Scan quickly just to know what it has … and will possibly come back for thorough understanding later on … as in most cases, never at all.

I scan my record and recalled that I placed the order at Amazon on Oct 29th 2007 … and it has just arrived yesterday Nov 21 2007, which means it took 23 days. I don’t have time to even scan it now … so nothing I can say about the content.
