my blog is not for commercial purposes

portrait.jpgJust arrived, amazon.com is a bit quicker lately when it started shipment from Germany instead of US. Order placed on Jan 8th arrived yesterday. Title is Portrait Photographer’s Handbook 3rd edition by Bill Hurter. Can’t comment so much about the content yet. Just can’t wait to the end of the day when I can freely leave the office and start to jump into the first page.

As a beginner to digital photography as a reborn hobbyist, I play around with various stuffs from landscape to macro. Lately I started to get interested to human interest and portraiture. Without any plan to become a pro, I always want to do the best I can in whatever I do, and books are among the best learning source.

The book is rather thin and made of thick paper sheets … which immediately mean not so much pages in it. Full of pretty picture examples taken by various professional photographers (I guess). So it seems not that many to read, which is good as a starter. The reason for choosing this book is … as always … reading excerpt, table of content, and the five stars recommendations from other readers.

Will keep this posting updated with my journey along the book. For now I just can hope that the $33.05 I paid worths.
