As a photographer wannabe, lenses turn me on. Whilst I should honestly admit that I am just a novice hobbyist, I do understand the good and the bad (if there any) of certain lense characteristics, and how prices work. Just like male erection, it is all about length and width. The longer the focal length - especially beyond starting at 200mm - and the wider the opening, the more expensive they are. Whilst ideally what they can do is more important than the price, I should humbly say that to me price is the more important aspect. At least it is the one and only unbreakable barrier to have one.
Surfing around the net I found quite an interesting picture. What a treasure is hidden in that stinky-looking trunk. I believe they all together cost more than five or ten times of the car itself. I will feel very lucky if I got one of them … anyone. Hope you guys are a bit luckier than I am. Well, it seems like I am destined to be a collector of “antique” lenses. Not bad … not bad at all.
